Where's Your Neighborhood?
Buying a home is one of the major purchase decisions of your life, yet when people start looking they usually have the picture of the home they want in their mind, but not the neighborhood! What neighborhood would they want to drive to and say, "This is where I live!" That's why when I work with my buyers, I first take them to neighborhoods in their price range; then when we find out the "where" we want to live and call home, then we focus on finding the "home" itself! You can always find a home you like in many locations, but is the location conducive to good resale, how is the proximity to shopping and good schools? These are important questions that must be answered before searching for that structure you'll call "home." It's important to be an organized searcher as well as an informed buyer, that's why I put my clients in the MLS (Multi Listing Service) search engines, another service that gives my buyers the "edge!" I also have them search on my custom mapping system provided by Listing Village, which ties directly to the Realtors MLS, so all the current housing data is up to the minute! When a Realtor enters a new home in the market meeting my clients criteria, it is sent directly to my client's email.
